The ingredients needed to prepare Dal Vada:

  1. Take 1 cup of Bengal gram (Chana dal), soaked for 8-10 hours.
  2. Prepare 1 of medium Onion.
  3. Use 1 inch of Ginger piece.

  5. Get 2 of Green Chilies.
  6. Prepare 3 tbsp of Chopped fresh Coriander leaves.

Steps to make Dal Vada:

  1. Finely chop onion and ginger and set them aside..
  2. Take a blender jar, add bengal gram, curry leaves and green chilies, coriander leaves, mint leaves, curry leaves and blend to a coarse paste. Scrape the sides of the blender jar in between..
  3. Transfer the mixture into a bowl, add salt, onion, ginger and mix well..
  4. Dampen your palms with water and flatten them slightly between your palms and set aside..
  5. Heat sufficient oil in a Kadai, deep fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper..
  6. Serve hot with green chutney..
